The head of state emphasized that O. Syrskyi has “very extensive” experience and that the operations he led were “very professional.”
“We understand everything, so, of course, we will ensure that both Oleksandr Stanislavovich and Andriy Hnatov, let’s say, do not relax, but transfer their experience to the new command,” V. Zelensky said.
He clarified that both O. Syrskyi and A. Hnatov will assist and advise the new commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Mykhailo Drapat.
Earlier, a source from the news portal “RBC-Ukraine” reported that O. Syrskyi and A. Hnatov would no longer be involved in operational activities after their resignation. The source noted that they would contribute intellectually and in the field of vision creation. The interlocutor added that the former commander could work in the military education system.
