„I went to present my work and show that the world of beauty can be much deeper than just an external image. However, after seeing the contest rules, I realized that this year many things were determined not by that, but by one element of the contest rules that almost no one paid attention to,“ says D. Builova.

At the event held at Salme Kultuurikeskus in Estonia, great attention was paid to the social mission. Each participant had to choose an organization or support direction they wanted to support. Dainora chose seniors.
However, the participants were surprised by one rule – every person, including the contestants themselves, could purchase 75 votes for a chosen contestant for 50 euros. This could be done an unlimited number of times. The organizers announced that 70% of the funds raised would go to the chosen organization, and the remaining 30% to the contest organization. Moreover, the girl or woman who collected the most votes in this way was to receive a special title.

„The principle of support itself is beautiful. However, many of us did not expect that purchased votes would become one of the most important, or perhaps the decisive factor in choosing the main winners. We think so because the contest was won by those participants who purchased the most points. Usually, such contests evaluate preparation, talent, elegance, communication, eloquence. This time a new aspect appeared, for which, in our opinion, not everyone was prepared,“ she says.
Although Dainora did not win the main crown, her performance received special recognition from the jury – she became the winner of the „Miss Talent“ title.
She earned this award for a sensitive dance telling the stories of women who lost their hair due to illness and, along with it, their self-confidence.

„I work not only as a hair extension specialist. I am also a pharmacist, so many women come to me not for a beauty procedure, but looking for solutions after oncological treatment or facing alopecia. Hair restoration often becomes just one part of the whole emotional healing process,“ she says.

Dainora works in her studio with women after chemotherapy and clients facing various scalp and hair disorders. Using a trichological diagnostic device, she first looks for the cause of the problem and only then offers solutions.
„When a person loses their hair, they often lose part of themselves as well. For me, the most important thing is not to add hair but to help regain confidence. That is why I wanted to talk about exactly this in the contest,“ says D. Builova.
According to her, the earned „Miss Talent“ title is more meaningful than any crown because it recognized not appearance but the message she wanted to convey.
„I hope that in the future, social responsibility will continue to be encouraged in beauty contests, but at the same time, there will be a clear balance between good deeds and the main contest evaluation criteria,“ says Dainora.
