The currently underutilized area will be arranged and adapted for residents’ relaxation, active leisure, and community activities: new sports and children’s play areas, pedestrian and bicycle paths will appear, and even beach infrastructure will be installed.
The new public space should be opened to the public on September 30, 2027.
During the project implementation, it is also planned to install parking lots, dog walking areas, an automatic toilet, a sports ground with exercise equipment, an outdoor volleyball court, a table tennis table, a children’s playground, a stage, a grill zone, and chess tables, lighting, water supply, and sewage networks.
At the beach, small architectural elements, a lifeguard post, lifeguard facilities, bicycle racks, an information stand, a terrace by the water, sunbeds, hammocks, and benches are planned, reports the municipality.
The total project value is 2.57 million euros, of which European Union funds amount to 903 thousand euros.
