„This can really complicate the negotiation process. Because, unlike Americans, Europeans do everything to ensure this war does not end,“ Peskov said.
According to him, if the negotiation process is delayed, Ukraine’s situation will worsen, and Russia’s demands will become “increasingly unpleasant.”
„We have long said that every passing day worsens the situation of the Kyiv regime,“ said the Kremlin press secretary.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov positively assessed the talks with US President’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
„From the very beginning, the Trump administration had both the desire and the ability to see the real causes of the conflict. This is what allows us to hope that conversations, negotiations, and contacts with the respective envoys will be beneficial to both sides,“ Lavrov said.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump’s envoys brought several “very good new ideas” to Kyiv. This refers to the “peace package” mentioned by US President’s representative Jared Kushner.

Zelensky added that he does not yet know whether these ideas can be improved and made effective. According to the Ukrainian president, work on them will continue.
It was also reported that “TVP World” political commentator Stuart Dowell drew attention to J. Kushner’s statement that peace in Ukraine could be “beneficial to all parties.”
However, according to S. Dowell, there is no such “mutually beneficial” agreement. In his assessment, Moscow may be ready for some concessions because Donald Trump needs a diplomatic victory, especially as achieving a breakthrough on the Iran issue is becoming increasingly difficult.
The commentator did not rule out the possibility that Vladimir Putin could make enough concessions to maintain the negotiation process but at the same time would not give up his most important demands to Ukraine.
