It all started in 2017 with a “Craft Beer Day” held at a local brewery – a cozy festival aimed at introducing the culture of craft beverages.
Over time, the event changed its name and grew in format: it became the “Genys & Friends” festival, inviting brewer friends from across the old continent.
“The idea of the festival is to invite friends and like-minded people to our brewery, to introduce the culture of craft beverages. We invite those breweries with whom we are friends, sharing experiences and flavors.

Throughout this time, “Genys & Friends” has become a community gathering. Tickets for each festival sell out before it even starts. This year is no exception – 97% of tickets are already sold, and we are preparing to welcome 1,200 friends,” says Laurynas Lisauskas, the initiator of “Genys & Friends.”
More than 100 flavors
On September 5th, craft beverage creators from the United Kingdom, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania will gather in Žemieji Šančiai.

Visitors entering the festival zone will receive a specially created glass for this year’s festival, with which they can taste over 100 different craft flavors. After the event, the glass will remain as a souvenir, reminding of “Genys & Friends 2026.”
Visitors will pair drinks with selected street food from six different food trucks: from oysters and other seafood to Mexican food, low & slow BBQ, Neapolitan pizzas, and other street food.
Acoustic concert by the band “Akli” and a hop-themed premiere
The festival is also inseparable from music. This year’s program includes a live acoustic concert by the band “Akli.” Later, B Ore and Eroott will take the decks, playing only vinyl records. Nearby, a “Vinyl Market” will be set up where visitors can choose from hundreds of different vinyl records.
On their social media accounts, the organizers also announce a surprise. The festival will feature a hop-themed premiere by the band “Akli” and “Genys Brewing Co.”
“Genys & Friends” will take place on September 5th in Kaunas, at A. Juozapavičiaus pr. 7H.
