As stated in the press release issued on Monday by the National Courts Administration, the organizations emphasize that judicial independence is one of the most important guarantees of the rule of law, and any actions that hinder courts from performing their functions pose a threat to international justice.
“The European Network of Councils for the Judiciary (ENCJ), ACA-Europe, the International Association of Judges (IAJ), and the Network of Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union have once again confirmed their support for the International Criminal Court, its judges, prosecutors, and staff,” the statement reads. “The organizations emphasize solidarity with all courts and judicial institutions defending judicial independence and the principles of the rule of law.”
