In the 104-kilometer distance, which consisted of four laps on the city circuit, Aironas Gerdauskas became the winner. Second place was taken by Latvian Olivers Skrapcis, and third by last year’s winner of these races, Rokas Kmieliauskas.
“The race was very intense from the very first lap – there were many attacks and a constant fight for positions. About halfway through the distance, our team managed to launch a decisive attack and break away from the main group. At the finish, our lead was about eight to nine minutes. We had not created such a large advantage in these competitions before, so this victory is truly special,” said race winner Aironas Gerdauskas after the finish, who also received the main prize of the competition – 1000 euros.
This result extended the successful history of “Energus” performances in Šiauliai. Last year, team cyclist Rokas Kmieliauskas became the winner of these races, and this year the team managed to achieve an even more impressive result – to completely occupy the winners’ podium.

The last few weeks have been particularly successful for the “Energus” team. Just a day ago, the team was recognized as the best team in the prestigious UCI 2.2 category multi-day race “Dookoła Mazowsza” in Poland, surpassing many professional UCI Continental teams. The victory in Šiauliai once again confirms strong athletic form in both international and Lithuanian competitions.
