A group of close friends organized a baby shower for the expectant mother at the entertainment venue “Water on Mars” located in the Kaunas district.

The chosen venue for the celebration was not accidental. According to Eglė, she wanted a space where people of different ages would feel comfortable – from little ones to adults.
“I chose a place with lots of nature and activities for both small and big. If someone came with children – there is a playground, if they wanted entertainment – water activities can be tried,” she said.

“Water on Mars” is known not only for its wakeboarding park but also for its restaurant, whose menu is inspired by Asian and various world cuisines – here you can find different poke bowls, wok dishes, seafood, and desserts.
Eglė’s friends made sure the celebration venue was as cozy as possible and dominated by summery colors. The expectant mother chose a light yellow, figure-flattering dress and a light blue jacket for the afternoon.
One of the brightest details of the celebration was a yellow cake with sun motifs and the inscription “Mama x 2”. Next to it, a symbolic game “Mom or Dad?” took place – guests guessed who among the parents would be stricter, who would spoil the child more often, or who would choose the name.

Friends also took care of the baby’s layette – the future parents were gifted everything they might need in the hospital and during the first days of the new stage.
Eglė says she values most the people who stay close for many years.
“What impresses me most in life is communication, friendship, laughter, some small women’s talks of ours. The essence of the celebration for me has always been meeting people, not gifts or beautiful views. The most important thing is time together,” she says.

According to Eglė, over the years you increasingly realize how much people who care, look after you, and stay close despite life changes mean.
“I really hope I will never forget that what matters most to me is those around me. That those people don’t change much over the years. Because of that, I feel very happy,” she admits.
Earlier this spring, the well-known woman revealed that she experiences her second pregnancy very differently from the first.
“I’m not one of those women who romanticize pregnancy a lot. I think it’s not an easy stage, although it’s very special,” Eglė has said.

While expecting her second child, she increasingly talks about the importance of support. According to her, a pregnant woman often needs not questions about weight or preparation for childbirth, but simple human attention.
“I think first you should ask – how do you feel, how are you living, can I help with anything,” she reflected.
Eglė does not hide that this experience differs from the first pregnancy not only emotionally but also physically. According to her, returning to this stage after more than eight years required more attention to her well-being and reminded her that the body’s capabilities change over time.
“There is definitely a difference between being pregnant at 24 and at 33,” she admitted.
The well-known woman said that the first months were accompanied by constant nausea, and the simplest daily tasks sometimes became a challenge.
“I have worked a lot all my life. And now I catch myself thinking – I still need to do this and that before life stops. But then the thought comes: when will I allow myself to just rest?” Eglė pondered.

Although, as she says, energy is not always enough, the expectant mother tries to take care of her well-being and looks for ways to stay active. She said she attends activities for pregnant women at “Bambino SPA” in water, exercises with a physiotherapist, and massages.
“I really try to be active. Of course, maybe half as much as usual, but I still look for things that help me feel better,” she has said.
While expecting her second child, Eglė says she thinks more and more not only about childbirth but also about the period after it. According to her, now the most important thing is to accumulate as many internal and physical resources as possible.
“I’m preparing for what will be after childbirth, like planning the second marathon of my life,” she admitted.
Still, the expectant mother does not hide that during pregnancy, well-being can sometimes be unpredictable: one morning it seems there is enough strength for everything, and after a few hours, there is no energy even for the simplest tasks.
According to her, being a mother is hard, but being a working mother is sometimes even more difficult.

“The first time I was pregnant, I thought – I will give birth and the hardest part will be over. Now I know that then completely different challenges begin: sleepless nights, uncertainty, responsibility,” she admitted.
Eglė admits she previously experienced so-called postpartum sadness, so this time she looks at the upcoming period more realistically – without the expectation that everything will be easy.
Still, despite all the changes, the expectant mother says she clearly feels a joyful sense of anticipation today.
“It’s an incredibly exciting stage. Both my husband and I are very happy and can’t wait,” she admits.
