Panama has declared a state of emergency nationwide due to “El Nino.” On Friday, the Panama Canal began reducing the number of ships passing through it due to the drought caused by this phenomenon. It is forecasted that this year the “El Nino” phenomenon will be the strongest since data collection began four decades ago.
