Continuing the actions of the previously initiated pre-trial investigation into the illegal handling of excise goods, border guards conducted a large operation on Monday night and morning. During it, 7 persons were detained, including 3 officers, as well as a large quantity of illegal tobacco products.
The mentioned pre-trial investigation was already initiated at the VSAT Pagėgiai Border Unit, organized and led by a prosecutor from the 3rd Criminal Prosecution Division of the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office.
