As stated by the Odesa city military administration, Russia terrorized the city almost all night and morning. The attack damaged infrastructure, an educational institution, and an apartment building.
President Volodymyr Zelensky called the recent attacks another large-scale complex Russian offensive targeting both infrastructure and residential areas.
“The Russians struck critical infrastructure in Poltava, Sumy, and Kherson regions. In Kharkiv region, they hit residential buildings. In Kramatorsk, a guided bomb struck a high-rise building. State rescue service units saved four people. Three people were injured in Zaporizhzhia, and two in Kryvyi Rih. In Odesa, an apartment building was hit. In Chubynske, Kyiv region, all necessary rescue services are involved in extinguishing fires at enterprises after drone strikes,” the president said.
Zelensky stated that given Russia’s continuous investment in missiles, additional support for air and ballistic missile defense is necessary.
“Everything that strengthens our airspace defense effectively saves Ukrainian lives daily. To reduce Russia’s desire to continue the war, we must effectively shoot down the missiles on which Moscow so heavily relies to keep the war going. I am grateful to everyone who understands this and helps,” he emphasized.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that last night Russia launched two Onyx anti-ship missiles from occupied Crimea, Iskander-M ballistic missiles and North Korean KN-23 missiles from Russia’s Bryansk and Kursk regions, as well as 258 drones of various types.
