The most realistic scenario for the end of the war or at least the cessation of hostilities, according to K. Budanov, could be a stop at the actual front line on the day an agreement is reached.
“My subjective opinion is that the most realistic option for the end of the war or at least the cessation of hostilities – with security guarantees for Ukraine – is to stop military actions along the actual front line on the day an agreement is reached,” he said.
The former head of military intelligence emphasized that this refers to the cessation of hostilities without any legal renunciation of Ukrainian territories.
“That will not happen, and no one will do that,” he concluded.
