The Šiauliai team will face their first friendly match on August 26, when they host the Valmiera “Glass VIA” basketball players, who won all the titles in Latvia last season.

On August 29, the team from the City of the Sun will travel to Birštonas to meet with the FIBA Champions League participant and Azerbaijani champion Baku “Sabah” team.
On September 4-5, “Šiauliai” will host the Algimantas Mikšys Cup tournament at their home arena. In the semifinals, the hosts will face the current Estonian championship winner Tartu “Ulikool” team.

In the other pair, Riga VEF and Kėdainiai “Nevėžis” will compete for a place in the cup final.
The Šiauliai team will complete their season preparation on September 12-13 in Klaipėda, where they will participate in the Vladas Garastas tournament. In the semifinals, “Šiauliai” will face Riga “Zelli,” who will debut in the European Cup. In the other pair, Klaipėda “Neptūnas” and Baku “Sabah” will compete.
