Discussions in the public space arose after the tragedy when a two-month-old girl died at Kaunas clinics. Medics informed child rights defenders about possible neglect of the baby, and they, not having received information that the girl had already died, decided to take her and the remaining children from the family. Although the child had a genetic disorder, the incident drew attention to the family’s lifestyle – according to the media, raw foodism is promoted and vaccinations are refused.
