However, warnings about thunderstorms are in effect in seven counties on the dangerous phenomena map published by the service: Vilnius, Utena, Alytus, Kaunas, Marijampolė, Tauragė, and Klaipėda.
The stormy weather may last from Monday evening until Tuesday evening.
“Meteo LT” announces: “Thunderstorm. Danger level: Dangerous.
Valid from 2026-08-17 21:00 to 2026-08-18 21:00. Thunderstorms in some places.
Recommendations: Stay indoors during lightning. Unplug household appliances and do not use plug sockets. If you are outside, find shelter, do not stay in open areas, near solitary trees, metal poles, and do not run. Be prepared for possible power outages. If you are traveling by car, close the windows and stay inside.”

On Tuesday, warnings will cover the entire Lithuania, except for the Baltic Sea and Curonian Spit region.
In Telšiai, Šiauliai, and Panevėžys counties, fog may form in some places during the night from Monday to Tuesday from 00:30 to 6:30, so caution is advised on the road as reduced visibility may complicate driving conditions. Pedestrians should wear reflectors in visible places.
