From 1993 to 2000, N. Lange also worked at NATO headquarters in Germany, Denmark, and Poland, participating in missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.

– Much has changed in Germany. I would say that from a defense and security perspective, Germany has essentially become a different country, but at the same time, it struggles to define itself as an actor. It reacts more to events rather than taking initiative. This is still a problem.
