„Back to Ukraine“ activists found O.Mustiacė’s account on a social network, and the photos posted there show that he not only served in the Russian armed forces but also participated in combat operations against Ukraine, reports the portal „The Insider“. The account has not been updated since November 2025.

„This is what happens to Ukrainian children“
About O.Mustiacė, the head of the charity organization „Save Ukraine“, former Ukrainian presidential envoy for children’s rights Mykola Kuleba wrote on his „Facebook“ account.
„On his account [social network], he posted photos in a uniform marked with the Z symbol, the Russian flag, and even from positions where he fought against Ukraine. Later – with a bandage, apparently after an injury. His account has not been updated since last November. Looking at all this, I cannot get rid of the thought that Russia may have first taken away this boy’s Ukrainian childhood, and then – his life itself.
For many, this may seem like a story about a personal choice. But in reality, it shows what happens to Ukrainian children who have been under Russian occupation for many years,“ he wrote.

M.Kuleba reminded that children in occupation „from kindergarten and school are accustomed to the cult of the army, forced to participate in military-patriotic events, join the ‘Yunarmiya’, taught to use weapons, and convinced that Ukraine is the enemy“.
Russian forces took Krynkus at the very beginning of the large-scale invasion. As „The Times“ writes, around the same time Oleksandr Mustiacė disappeared, who turned 15 in February 2022.
