She agreed to share the story with the readers of the Žmonės.lt portal.

“This weekend was the Žemaičių Kalvarija birthday celebration, which takes place annually and is quite lively. This time was no exception.

“The group “Patruliai” also participated in the Žemaičių Kalvarija birthday celebration, performing, but it’s a great pity that I barely got to hear their performance not only because of the situation that unfolded there, but also because at one point the concert even had to be interrupted. So what happened there?” – the listener began her story.

The fun had to be interrupted at its peak

According to her, a painful incident occurred at the event – one of the spectators fell ill.

“It was such an unusual situation where I saw how quickly people get lost and don’t even know what to do at that moment, even though in principle they might know theoretically in life, but stress and confusion take their toll.

So, while another artist was still performing, standing in the crowd, I noticed that a few women were seemingly leading a man by the arm, by the armpits, and one could mistakenly get the impression that perhaps it was a drunk person, but that was not the case.

The person simply felt unwell, those women sat him on a chair, and it was clearly visible that he had lost consciousness; all signs indicated that,” Lina observed.

Tears and panic at the concert

The woman revealed to the Žmonės.lt portal that she is a general practice nurse by education, so she knows what to do in such cases.

“The women started to worry, crying in panic, they simply didn’t know what to do, and the people around them also didn’t know what to do. The person lost consciousness, well, that means a heart massage is needed. As I understood, there was no medic in that immediate circle, so I gave all my belongings to my mother and rushed to help… We laid the person down, thinking of starting resuscitation, but after laying him down and a few moments passing, the person regained consciousness, it was clear that he was very unwell, it seemed like he would soon išsijungs again, so we made space, gave him air, laid him on his side, and he slowly recovered. An ambulance was called,” the spectator recounted.

Lina stated that they had to wait for the ambulance, but it arrived and took the unwell person away.

“We had to wait for quite a while, because apparently the incident was classified as not so dangerous anymore, since the person regained consciousness. But still, when you see a person, how he looks, it’s a little unsettling, but we did get the ambulance…,” the woman recalled.

Thanks to the group “Patruliai”

However, she did not miss one unpleasant thing, but according to Lina, the situation was saved by the group “Patruliai”.

“I don’t want to blame anyone at all, it’s just that in such a situation, the police officers who were there, I think, should have organized the ambulance’s entry, cleared people through the central square, because it had become like a dance floor. A corridor should have been made for the ambulance, but it happened as it happened, and the emergency medical service arrived via a slightly different route.

However, at this point, I want to say a big thank you to the group “Patruliai”, who not only stopped their concert for quite a long time, but the performers themselves even said from the stage that we should make a corridor for the ambulance to leave. These seem like small things, but they can determine a lot,” said the woman who attended the concert.
