This year visitors can expect unexpected collaborations, new locations, and, of course, the same strong “Pakilimas” character. While the organizers still keep a few aces up their sleeves, it is no longer a secret that the name of the guest from Germany – Neon Graveyard – is written in the brightest letters on the headliners list. Alongside him, we will hear the author of the “Anomalija” event series MWT and other DJs already well known to the “Pakilimas” audience and debuting only here. Besides good music and dancing, guests will also enjoy a carefully planned N-18 program.
On stage – wax performances, shibari art, and niche fetishes
“Many already know that the signature card of “Pakilimas” has become not only hot BDSM and fetish performances but also their educational aspect. Everyone interested can try out BDSM furniture, tools, and accessories arranged in the event spaces, and the stars performing help each willing person take their ‘first steps.’ The ‘Play’ stage will be opened this time by Emma Crave with a waxplay performance, and we will include more niche fetishes, such as Pet Play performances. Guests from Latvia, Mr. Ropez & Keita, will demonstrate the Japanese erotic human bondage Shibari art. And, of course, traditionally, whipping masters join the program,” intrigues one of the “Pakilimas” organizers Haroldas Liudvikas Pelegrimas.
According to him, the goal of the upcoming season is to maintain the underground soul while raising the party’s sound and visual solutions to a higher level.
“I am talking about more well-known electronic music names, a more scenographic intimate performance stage, and an overall improvement in event quality. Each time we are not afraid to break backs and minds to make every event a ‘dream.’ Therefore, the greatest appreciation is to see tickets sold out even before the party day,” says the speaker.
The iconic tunnel will turn into intimacy spaces
According to the organizers, returning to the “Elastica” club at least once per season is the only non-negotiable issue. At the same time, it is also motivation to strive to offer visitors new experiences from the moment they step through the door until the party ends at dawn.
“The club is famous for its unique layout, the iconic so-called ‘Elastica’ tunnel, which connects the main event spaces and extends under the railway tracks. We see all this as a challenge, so this time we will transform ‘Elastica’ radically. Martynas Vaitkevičius’ vision is that the empty tunnel will become rooms, niches, new intimacy spaces. The bridge connecting the techno and BDSM areas will become private backstages and darkrooms,” intrigue the organizers.
They do not hide that although “Pakilimas” events are already called cult, there is still something to learn and improve each time.
“Sometimes the best lesson comes from those ‘not so well-controlled’ situations. We looked for ways to reduce the queues at the entrance, but when everything is done hurriedly, mechanically, coldly, the visitor feels like a stranger. So we decided instead to pay special attention to each arrival. This way, the position of ‘host’ appeared, i.e., our person who welcomes new people and introduces them to the general event atmosphere. This creates the already ‘legendary’ queues at the entrance, but they are a good opportunity to get acquainted. Another example is the stuffiness on the packed dance floor. We solve this not by trying to reduce the crowd of dancers but by sending volunteers with free water, a bucket of ice cubes, and trays of fruit in the early morning. We, as organizers, take responsibility for creating a safe space, so we tend not to ignore challenges but to learn to manage and juggle them,” says H.L. Pelegrimas.
