A new „Lidl“ campaign „Unexpectedly Created Career“ starts: invites to join the team

„I came just to gain experience, and now it has become a ten-year success story,“ says Deividas, who works at the logistics center. Kristupas admits that he was not looking for a long-term career, but today he works as a deputy store manager, and long-time team member Edita shares that there has not been a single boring day in eight years.

„The new campaign reflects Lidl’s ambition to be the first choice not only for customers but also for job seekers. The company’s efforts to create a favorable environment for employees are confirmed by awards for the best employer, but the best way to reveal work at Lidl is through the experiences of the team members themselves. Although their stories are different, they are all united by the opportunity to grow, learn, and strive for more. We hope these stories will help candidates more easily imagine themselves in our team,“ says Antanas Bubnelis, Head of Corporate Affairs in the Baltic States at Lidl.

Opportunities to grow from the first day at work

Lidl Lithuania is currently looking for new team members for various positions. Employees are welcome not only in the country’s major cities but also in Jonava, Kretinga, Palanga, Molėtai, Elektrėnai, Marijampolė, and others.

The possible career path is discussed already during the first interview with the candidate. For example, starting to work in a Lidl store and showing good results can lead to becoming a store manager’s assistant, deputy, or manager, and later a regional manager or continuing a career in the company’s administration. Based on each employee’s needs, an individual development plan is created, and there is also an opportunity to use the training platform for free or participate in other professional growth trainings.

Those who do not yet have similar work experience are also invited to join the team – before starting work, all new employees will participate in comprehensive theoretical and practical training. Interested parties only need to fill out a short application form online – Lidl Lithuania’s recruitment team will contact selected candidates. Available job positions can be viewed on Lidl Lithuania’s career portal karjera.lidl.lt, and those with questions about recruitment can contact via email noriudirbti@lidl.lt.

Employees value competitive salaries

The new campaign also presents the benefits most valued by employees. One of them is a competitive salary. According to Rekvizitai.lt data, in the second quarter of the year, the average salary of Lidl Lithuania employees was 2762.04 euros and was the highest among the five major food retail chains. This indicator is calculated based on the salary data of employees who worked in the company for the entire calendar month.

The financial stability of team members is also ensured by the company’s tiered salary system, which allows employees to know from the first day how their salary will change over the next few years. Valuing loyalty and accumulated experience, Lidl has added a fifth salary tier, giving the longest-serving employees the opportunity to earn even more.

Equal health insurance for all employees

One of the most valued benefits by employees is additional health insurance, which Lidl Lithuania has been providing to all team members, regardless of their positions, for eight consecutive years. This benefit is also highlighted in the new employer branding campaign „Unexpectedly Created Career“.

It gives all employees the opportunity to consult with specialists from private and public healthcare institutions, purchase medicines and dietary supplements, and use other health services. The insurance package is reviewed and updated annually to best meet the real needs of employees.

Warm lunches during every shift

The campaign also presents other benefits valued by employees. Lidl Lithuania logistics center employees receive free warm lunches during every shift, and order pickers can earn bonuses of up to 300 euros per month.

The company consistently invests in employee well-being and, taking into account their needs, expands the offered benefits package.

The employer branding campaign will be conducted throughout Lithuania from August 17. Its advertisements will be visible on digital screens, job portals, sports clubs, social networks, and public transport, as well as heard on the radio. Two video clips have been created for the campaign, presenting sales and logistics positions.

Currently, more than 2,900 employees work at Lidl Lithuania. There are 87 Lidl stores operating in 31 Lithuanian cities: Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Alytus, Marijampolė, Kėdainiai, Telšiai, Kretinga, Mažeikiai, Tauragė, Jonava, Panevėžys, Ukmergė, Utena, Plungė, Palanga, Elektrėnai, Visaginas, Šilutė, Radviliškis, Vilkaviškis, Druskininkai, Rokiškis, Kaišiadorys, Nemenčinė, Gargždai, Molėtai, Jurbarkas, Raseiniai, and Garliava.
