A minivan, which could hold a maximum of nine people but was carrying 16 passengers, crashed into the back of a truck on a highway in Henan province, the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security of China reported on social media. The accident occurred at 2:40 a.m. local time (9:40 p.m. Lithuanian time on Wednesday).

The minivan was traveling on the G40 highway in Nanjing when it “crashed into the rear of a truck ahead,” the bureau stated on the social network Weibo.
The ministry said it “attaches great importance” to the incident and “immediately dispatched a working group led by an official from the Traffic Management Bureau to Nanjing to lead the investigation and handle the aftermath.”
