TS-LKD chairman Laurynas Kasčiūnas confirmed that the necessary signatures have already been collected: 36 parliamentarians’ approval was needed for this, and currently 48 parliamentarians have signed the initiative.

To have the issue mandatorily included in the Seimas plenary session agenda, 47 Seimas members’ signatures are sufficient.

Among the signatories, the majority are opposition, but there are also representatives of the Mixed Group of Seimas members, and four “aušriečiai” from the ruling party supported the idea.
