The tandem of two Lithuanian music icons A.Kaušpėdas and V.Diawara stands out for creative freedom, shows radiating special power, and the ability to captivate the audience. At the music club “Tamsta,” the audience will hear not only the best songs of the duo but also legendary “Antis” tracks like “Alio, alio,” “Zombiai,” “Klasėj mane kalbina,” “Pokštas,” “Alyvos,” and many others. This concert also plans to present the book about “Antis” released this year in France.

The concert will also feature the latest group single “Kontrolierė.” The updated version of the song was performed by “KAnDIs” for the first time on stage this year at the Baltic culture and extreme music festival “Kilkim žaibu.” That time, the “KAnDIs” performance was one of the most interesting and became the closing highlight of this year’s festival. Yesterday, on September 16, the duo performed at the home stadium of Vilnius FK “Žalgiris,” where a record audience of nearly 6,500 spectators gathered to watch the match.
“This song is perhaps from 1985, its lyrics were created by poet Evaldas Morkūnas. At that time, I was looking for interesting texts, and he gave me his poetry notebook. The text intrigued me immensely, and the musical arrangement was created by Petras Ubartas,” recalled Algirdas Kaušpėdas about the song’s creation. “The song is about love and at the same time about fear. Together, these words are ironic. You could say it is a transformation of fear, which shackles a person, into love, which liberates.”

Originally, the song “Kontrolierė” was released in the 1988 “Antis” album “Ša!,” which was reissued a few years ago by the music companies “Zona” and M.P.3. This track is also included in another joint vinyl release by both agencies, “Antis-40: Best Songs.”
