The exchange of prisoners of war and deceased soldiers is one of the few areas of cooperation between the warring countries.
“As part of repatriation measures, 252 bodies of deceased persons were returned to Ukraine,” reported the Ukrainian coordination headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war.

The police and other officials “will conduct all necessary investigations and establish the identities of the repatriated bodies,” the headquarters added.
