Even before „Rally Elektrėnai“, rally organizers Ramūnas Čapkauskas and one of the leaders Deividas Gezevičius promised an exciting battle in the studio. Deividas also promised: if he “doesn’t get into trouble” during the rally, his Škoda will be on display at the „Auto Expo Vilnius“ exhibition held at Litexpo from September 18-20.

Fortunately, although the battle between the leaders was very fierce, both V. Žala’s and D. Gezevičius’s cars remained intact. However, one of Vaidotas’s “bumps” cost him the rally and the championship winner’s title.

The very first special stage promised an interesting battle. First – D. Gezevičius, second – Rokas Steponavičius, third – V. Žala. As Vaidotas later said, he was a bit sleepy in the morning and only later did his eyes open.
So until SS6, Deividas was leading, later the difference was erased and Vaidotas took the lead, starting to push 100%.
However, in the penultimate „Power stage“ braking zone, V. Žala hit a barrier and received a 10-second penalty for it. This turned everything upside down.
Especially since the last special stage was won by Rokas Steponavičius, so Vaidotas failed to reclaim the first position from Deividas.
