One of them is a well-known entrepreneur, social sciences doctor, and educator Austėja Landsbergienė.
For those dreaming about her investments, it won’t be easy – a nice presentation or an interesting idea alone definitely won’t be enough. Without precise numbers and expertise, don’t even show up to Austėja!
“Every problem can always be ‘thrown’ money at, and I understand that there are problems that cannot be solved without it. But my eyebrow always raises when a person wants to solve business problems not primarily with creativity, but with money – and sometimes not even their own,” shares A. Landsbergienė.
Participants of the entrepreneurship show should prepare to answer countless uncomfortable questions. According to Austėja, this often helps reveal the true potential of the business.
“When I start asking about numbers, competitors, mistakes made, or how the business plans to grow, a weak idea becomes apparent very quickly. Because everything is like in a fog. Many words, but the essence is missing,” she says.
Meanwhile, a strong idea, according to A. Landsbergienė, can become even stronger and worthy of investment thanks to uncomfortable questions. After all, it’s a great opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge.
“Probably the most important signal is whether a person can talk about their business weaknesses as freely and boldly as about their strengths. Business is multifaceted and complex,” she states.
And the simple fact that A. Landsbergienė undoubtedly knows what she is talking about is revealed by one simple fact – she herself is a true leader in the field of education.

The entrepreneur has been successfully developing the kindergarten “Vaikystės sodas” and Queen Morta School for more than 16 years, which has grown into a wide educational network. And now about 1800 children study here in four Lithuanian cities!
Moreover, this year this business story was crowned by a successful sale of the network to the international “Globeducate” group, which manages educational institutions in 11 countries worldwide.
“I know what it takes to grow from zero, manage a team, make tough financial decisions, and ultimately – successfully sell a business,” says A. Landsbergienė.
Currently, the entrepreneur is already creating a new business – the ACORN math learning club.
“I fully understand the challenges of the early stages: how to turn an idea into a working business model when there is neither income nor a clear path yet. This experience will allow me to evaluate the ideas of the ‘Sharks’ participants not only theoretically but also from a practical perspective. What really needs to be done for an idea to become a business?” she says.
According to the entrepreneur, it is no less important how deeply participants understand their client and the problems they solve. The mere desire to sell a product is not enough here!
“I want to see the numbers: how much it costs to attract a client, how much revenue they bring, and whether this model can work at all. I want the participant to know their market better than I do – so that I feel like I’m talking to an expert, not an enthusiast without data,” says the entrepreneur.
