Four vehicles collided
The Fire and Rescue Department told 15min that the incident was reported at 14:55. The vehicles collided on the A16 road in Birštonas municipality, near the village of Jundeliškiai.

As it turned out, the incident involved passenger cars “Peugeot” and “Audi”, a “Volkswagen” minibus, and a “Volvo” truck.
Firefighters who arrived at the accident site at 15:06 helped free the injured persons. One participant in the traffic accident was taken to the hospital, while others received medical assistance on site.
The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by police officers. Traffic on Tilto Street at the accident site is closed until officers record the details of the incident.
The circumstances became clear
Eglė Kačinskienė, a representative of the Alytus County Police, informed BNS that the accident occurred around 14:50.
When leaving a side road, a small cargo vehicle collided with a “Volvo” truck carrying grain on the main road. The heavy “Volvo” pressed the VW minibus with passengers against the barrier. And a passenger car “Audi” crashed into the car of the accident’s culprit.
Firefighters rescued the people inside the minibus. They were not trapped but could not get out of the vehicle. Several of them were injured. One person was taken to the hospital, and others received medical assistance on site.
