After the official presentation of the “Luce,” opinions were divided. Some fans and experts criticized both the car’s design and Ferrari’s decision to enter the electric vehicle market.

One of the most famous critics was former Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo. “We risk destroying a legend,” said the Italian.
He even added that the famous prancing horse logo should be removed from the new model.
Meanwhile, F. Briatore took a different tone.
The 76-year-old Italian posted a short video on social media, humorously evaluating the new car.
“Everyone asks me about the new Ferrari. It has one big advantage – the Chinese won’t copy this,” joked F. Briatore.
This comment quickly spread online and received numerous reactions.
The discussions were further fueled by the financial markets’ reaction. It was reported that the day after the “Luce” presentation, Ferrari shares in Milan fell by more than 8%, and in New York by more than 5%.
It also has defenders
Nevertheless, the new model has many defenders.
Among them are current Ferrari F-1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, who participated in the official car presentation and tested the electric car on the track themselves.
L. Hamilton especially praised the car’s power delivery and handling. “It’s amazing. Even when driving over curbs, the car stays glued to the road,” said the seven-time world champion.
Meanwhile, C. Leclerc liked that more physical buttons returned to the cabin. “You can drive and look at the road, not constantly search for functions on the screen,” said the driver.
The new Ferrari Luce will be sold for about 640 thousand US dollars. The first customers should receive their cars in the last quarter of 2026.
