The VRK decided that there is not enough legal and factual data to state that in August 2024, when G. Paluckas was running for the Seimas, he had not completed serving a court-imposed sentence or criminal sanction, as understood under the Election Code.

According to the commission, there is no basis to recognize that he committed a gross violation of the Election Code and accordingly no basis for the Seimas to decide on the premature termination of G. Paluckas’s parliamentary mandate.
