Among the injured are three police officers.
The suspect also died, police spokesperson Garrett Parten said at a press conference. He added that it is still unclear under what circumstances he died.

One person died at the scene, said G. Parten. Four people were taken to the hospital, where one of the injured later died.
Three police officers were also taken to the hospital, two of whom were shot. It is hoped that both will survive, and a hospital spokesperson told AFP that their condition is stable.

One had a leg shot, and another is undergoing surgery. It is unclear what injuries the third officer sustained.
The motives for the attack were not mentioned at the press conference.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz asked the public to “pray for Minnesota,” and FBI Director Kash Patel said his agents are responding to the incident.
