Happiness didn't last long: which fuels became the most expensive?

In Lithuania on Thursday morning, the average prices of gasoline, diesel, and LPG increased by 0.82%, 0.81%, and 1.28% respectively. Fuel prices at our country’s gas stations are influenced by rising wholesale fuel prices and more expensive oil.

Data on fuel prices obtained from gas stations by 10 a.m. on September 3 shows that the lowest diesel price was at two “Neste” network gas stations in Vilnius and a “Baltic Petroleum” network gas station in Lazdijai – 1.989 Eur/l.

The highest diesel price was at a “Viada” network gas station in Panevėžys district municipality – 2.239 Eur/l.

Diesel prices at gas stations on Thursday morning ranged from 1.989 Eur/l to 2.239 Eur/l, with the average diesel price reaching 2.093 Eur/l, or 0.81% more than on Wednesday (September 2), when it was 2.076 Eur/l.

The lowest gasoline price on Thursday morning was at an “Eniris” network gas station in Vilnius district municipality – 1.699 Eur/l.

The highest gasoline price was at twenty “Viada” network gas stations, nine “Circle K” network gas stations, and a “Degta” network gas station in Elektrėnai municipality – 1.959 Eur/l.

Gasoline prices at gas stations on Thursday morning ranged from 1.699 Eur/l to 1.959 Eur/l, with the average gasoline price amounting to 1.843 Eur/l, or 0.82% more than on Wednesday (September 2), when it was 1.828 Eur/l.

The lowest LPG price on Wednesday morning was at four “Madalva” network gas stations – 0.670 Eur/l.

The highest LPG price was at UAB “Tumasa” gas station in Mažeikiai district municipality (Židikiai) – 0.940 Eur/l.

LPG prices at gas stations on Thursday morning ranged from 0.670 Eur/l to 0.940 Eur/l, with the average LPG price reaching 0.781 Eur/l, or 1.28% more than on Wednesday (September 2), when it was 0.771 Eur/l.

The wholesale gasoline price in Lithuania on September 2 was 1.74 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 2.03 Eur/l (on September 1, the wholesale gasoline price was 1.72 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 1.92 Eur/l).

The Brent oil price on the market on September 2 was 95.63 USD/bbl (September 1 – 94.65 USD/bbl).
