The Serbs pulled away already in the second quarter (38:24), but the Italians completely restored the intrigue in the third (47:47).
However, another guest spurt put the finishing touches on the game.
The top scorer among the winners, Aleksa Avramović, scored 20 points (4/13 three-pointers). Marko Gudurić added 19 (2/6 three-pointers).
The brightest Serbian star N. Jokić scored 8 points (1/2 two-pointers, 0/2 three-pointers, 6/7 free throws) and grabbed 8 rebounds in 24 minutes.
For the Italians, Nico Mannion scored 23 points (3/5 three-pointers, 7 turnovers), Simone Fontecchio – 15 (3/8 three-pointers).
