In recent weeks, Kyiv has intensified attacks on Russian energy facilities, targeting sites even in the Ural Mountains.
These attacks often cause large fires, but their impact is difficult to assess.
However, in response to tensions in this sector, the Russian government announced a “temporary ban on the export of aviation fuel from Russia.”
“The purpose of this decision is to ensure stability in the domestic fuel market,” the statement said.

It clarified that the ban does not apply to shipments transported under intergovernmental agreements.
Russia, one of the world’s oil and gas giants, had previously restricted automotive fuel exports as market pressure grows amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
