Information provided by three mobile network operators shows that 329 base stations were still not working in their networks, compared to 516 on Monday, as reported by the service around 2 p.m. on Tuesday. According to it, 134 base stations were down in the “Telia” network, 99 in “Tele2”, and 96 in “Bitė”.

However, “Telia” reported on Tuesday afternoon that far fewer of its base stations were without power – 76, and connection was restored for 99% of its customers, with fiber optic services being rapidly restored as well.
As BNS stated, RRT said operators provide information to the service once a day, in the morning, and updated data will be published on Wednesday morning.
“We see a consistent improvement in the situation and a decreasing number of non-operational base stations. Operators continue infrastructure restoration work, so the situation remains dynamic and may change,” said RRT board member Darius Kuliešius in a statement.
According to RRT, mobile communication services depend not only on the operation of base stations but also on power supply and data transmission infrastructure, so in certain areas, the duration of connection restoration may be determined precisely by the functioning of these systems.

Telecommunications companies also reported an improving situation on Tuesday.
As BNS wrote, D. Kuliešius reported on Monday that out of about 6,000 base stations in the entire country network, about 550 were not working, and about 66,000 users had no electronic communication: the majority – about 36,000 – in the “Tele2” network, 18,000 in “Bitė”, and 12,000 in “Telia”.
On Monday, about half of the communication stations of the three largest mobile network operators affected by the storm were not working in the country.
