Railway workers continue to clear the aftermath of the storm today, as in some areas strong winds caused trees to fall on railway infrastructure even on Sunday.

On Saturday, large forces were immediately mobilized to clear the storm damage, with more than 100 railway infrastructure workers operating in the sections. Work continued uninterrupted through the night: obstacles were removed from the tracks, and damaged infrastructure was restored.
Dozens of traffic control specialists, crossing guards, and other field specialists also joined the work. They ensure smooth traffic organization, elimination of consequences, and safety assurance.
Additional forces have been mobilized for passenger service, where employees promptly provide information about train traffic changes, advise passengers both at stations and remotely, and help find the best travel solutions under difficult conditions.
On Sunday, as the clearing work continues, train delays of up to 60 minutes are possible, and in some cases – more than 120 minutes. Preliminary data shows that 1,600 passengers faced disruptions today.
