But before the game, we also saw that one of their main players, Jamel Morris, would not play, so maybe that’s where the relaxation came from. As I said, the result is satisfying, the game – not. Especially the defense,“ said the Kaunas coach.
T. Masiulis did not want to rejoice in the well-functioning offense.
„I don’t want to play so that the victory or defeat depends on the offense. We have to control the game on defense. Everything could have gone differently if we hadn’t attacked. If we want to be a solid team, we have to defend solidly every attack,“ said the coach.
In the final, Kaunas will meet Utena’s „Juventus“ or Klaipėda’s „Neptūnas“. Currently, Utena leads the series 2-0.
„We are watching what is happening there. Utena’s play is not surprising, they played well already at the end of the season, have good players, are well coached. But, I think, Klaipėda will not give up and tomorrow awaits a good fight,“ concluded T. Masiulis.

Meanwhile, „Lietkabelis“ head coach Nenad Čanak quickly switched to the upcoming fight for the LKL bronze after congratulating the opponents.
