As reported by the Seimas, at the meeting in Tallinn, the chairpersons of the Baltic states’ parliaments also discussed regional security, cooperation within the EU and NATO.
“The strength of the Baltic states has always been our ability to act together. This helped us restore independence, achieve membership in the European Union and NATO, and it is especially important today. The security interests of our countries coincide, so we must defend our positions unitedly both in Europe and in the transatlantic space,” J. Olekas is quoted as saying in the statement.
