Representatives of „Gazprom neft“ confirmed to the RBK channel that temporary restrictions on the sale of gasoline and diesel apply at the company’s gas stations – up to 40 liters per car. The hotline informed that inquiries about the possibility of filling fuel into cans should be made at specific gas stations.

„Gazprom neft“ also assured that all efforts are being made to stabilize the situation amid growing fuel demand among Moscow residents.
The „Tatneft“ hotline reported that the gasoline sales limit at the company’s gas stations in Moscow is 50 liters, and diesel – 60 liters.
When the situation in Moscow worsened
The fuel shortage in the capital and the Moscow region began to be recorded last week. Local residents reported disruptions in gasoline supply and queues at gas stations after a new series of Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries (at least four large plants were taken out of operation in August alone).
The shortage of A-95 grade gasoline is especially noticeable – although its price jumped to 120 rubles (1.21 euros) per liter, it disappeared from the gas stations of „Gazprom“, „Rosneft“, „Neftmagistral“, „Teboil“ and other networks, writes „The Moscow Times“.

RBK confirmed that on the evening of August 18, 95-grade gasoline could be found only at one „Neftmagistral“ gas station in Moscow. For diesel, the company also recommended inquiring locally.

The „Lukoil“ hotline informed that A-92, A-95 gasoline and diesel were available at two city gas stations, and only diesel at another one.
What Moscow resorted to
Sources in this business told „Reuters“ at the beginning of the week that the Kremlin has again started a campaign aimed at prioritizing the supply of gasoline to Moscow. According to the interlocutors, the fuel shortage in the Moscow region is being alleviated by redistributing flows from eastern regions.
Gasoline shipments are sent to the capital despite more and more regions facing a second wave of the fuel crisis, which has already affected dozens of federal subjects.
According to the „GdeBENZ“ app data, on August 16, gasoline or diesel was available at only 28.1% of the country’s gas stations, although a week ago this figure was 41%. Over the past seven days, fuel availability has decreased in the Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg, Voronezh, Samara, Penza, Saratov, Lipetsk and Rostov regions, as well as in Tatarstan.
