Inga Ruginienė believes that state pensions should be administered by separate ministries

„What to do when we are in the same system? How to balance between the amounts? Because in the same system those amounts are different. Some receive quite a solid state pension, others receive complete tears, like, for example, police officers. (…) Each branch could solve these problems much more purposefully,“ she said on Tuesday during a meeting with the opposition Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats faction.

„If we just start to move and raise those smallest pensions a little, it is obvious that we have to go horizontally, and then the base amount rises for everyone. What is my view and what I think is that probably certain professions should still be handed over to the branch level,“ the minister stated.
