The courtyard of one of the apartment buildings on Baltupio Street in Vilnius is ordinary – like many others in the capital. Its condition has long since ceased to resemble what we would want in our courtyards. However, the resident of this apartment building, Konstantinas, says that they have been unable to get help from the Vilnius municipality for their building.

“I want to expose the simply incredible incompetence, negligence, and cynical attempt to shirk legal responsibility by the Vilnius city municipality departments.

The situation has reached such an absurd level that I myself, having lost all hope, was forced to buy cold asphalt with my own personal funds and personally patch the largest emergency-sized potholes in the yard,” – 15min said the Vilnius resident.

According to him, six years have passed since attempts to call for help and get the yard repaired, but all in vain. Allegedly, only legal remedies remain, so on August 2 of this year, an “official legal objection due to their inactivity” was submitted to the municipality.
