Continuing the “Palanga Park Evenings” concert series, on Thursday evening Paulina Paukštaitytė held a special acoustic concert on the terrace of the Palanga Amber Museum. On stage, the singer was accompanied by keyboardist Dovydas Kiauka, guitarist Džiugas Juzėnas, and the acoustic format allowed for a close connection with the gathered audience. After the performance, Paulina expressed her joy and shared her impressions of the evening.

“The emotions are unique. I haven’t held an acoustic concert for a long time, although it is one of my favorite formats because it allows me to get closer to the listener and the listener to be even closer to me, without any barriers or additional props. We had a cozy, beautiful, and completely sold-out concert, so I want to thank everyone who came – not only the people of Palanga but also those who came to the seaside especially for this evening,” Paulina rejoices.
The concert venue itself gave special significance to this performance. The terrace of the Palanga Amber Museum became a new concert space for Paulina and a place that brought back childhood memories. The singer revealed that this was her first time performing here, making the performance even more sensitive and personal for her.
“I have never performed here before, so this is my first time and a great honor. I remember myself as a very small child when I used to walk in Birutė Park with my parents. Somewhere in the family archives, I even have a photo from those times. This concert even inspired me to find it, so I will definitely look for it when I return,” Paulina said with a smile.
The singer’s connection with the Palanga resort is not only through music and summer memories but also important personal life events. It was here that the artist met the love of her life and later got married, so returning to Palanga to perform is always a pleasure for her, even during the very busy summer season.
“Palanga is very important to me – this is where I met the love of my life, where we got married, but of course, the seaside is inseparable from summer and music for me. This season, Palanga is alive with concerts, people meeting, and beautiful socializing. Every evening, many wonderful events take place here, so I am very happy that my concert became one of them. This summer is very busy for me, but I definitely do not complain – I love my job, so performing is a pleasure, especially when the evenings are like this,” Paulina confides.
Birutė Park and the Palanga Amber Museum located within it are increasingly becoming exclusive spaces for cultural events. The museum director was pleased that concerts allow visitors to discover this place differently and complement a usual visit with a live music experience. According to her, the large audience shows that such evenings enrich the summer cultural life of Palanga.
“It is pleasing to see so many people gathered. Summer is our busiest time, so it is good that we can enrich the visitor experience not only with a visit to this unique space, park, or museum but also with additional cultural events. We are happy to offer visitors this wonderful concert week, which seems to be supported by the sky as well, as we are accompanied by exceptionally beautiful weather and a great mood,” said Dr. Sigita Bagužaitė-Talačkienė, director of the Palanga Amber Museum, speaking on stage at the beginning of the event.
During the concert, the audience’s attention was also drawn to Paulina’s stage image. For this evening, the artist chose an exclusive sparkling dress that stood out in the cozy acoustic concert environment. However, Paulina emphasized that when choosing a stage image, not only aesthetics are important to her – comfort and the ability to feel free on stage play an equally important role.
“I am always for beauty and aesthetics, but comfort is also important to me. Especially in acoustic concerts, because it seems that if something pinches, it will be visible. I always want to feel good, and this dress is like a second skin,” Paulina says.
The entire beauty team contributed to the singer’s distinctive stage image – stylist Vainotas Jakštas, hair stylist Gabija Telišauskaitė, and makeup artist Justė Frankonė. Vainotas, who has been working with the artist for a year, said that the image for each performance is dictated by the nature and location of the concert. This time, the main source of inspiration was the seaside, the setting sun, and the unique environment of the Palanga Amber Museum.
“For me, as a stylist, the most important thing is that the person going on stage feels good, so before each performance, I discuss expectations and needs with Paulina. Over the year, I have gotten to know her and can predict a lot, but we always consult and try on several options. For this concert, we drew inspiration from the sea and the sun. We wanted a minimalist look because the environment here is very grand – beautiful columns, a wonderful garden, and behind the trees – the sea and the setting sun. This is exactly what Paulina’s dress symbolizes – the sun setting into the sea, its shine, and complete calm. I try to work as much as possible with Lithuanian designers, and although this dress is not a Lithuanian work, the entire look was completed with jewelry by the Lithuanian creators “Balaretis”,” the stylist said.
This Paulina’s performance is already the second of five musical evenings this week on the terrace of the Palanga Amber Museum. On August 14, Angelou will perform on stage, on August 15 – the band “8 Kambarys,” and on August 16, Vaidas Baumila will conclude the concert series.
