This mini documentary is not a look at past achievements, but an attempt to reveal the personality of a very hardworking and motivated basketball player chasing a dream, as well as the specifics of the profession of Tadas, who has been working as an agent for 17 years.

An extraordinary opportunity to realize a vision.
The level of the “Green Room” is defined by the number of Lithuanians who have received invitations to it.
Last summer, K. Jakučionis joined the company of Jonas Valančiūnas, Domantas Sabonis, and Matas Buzelis, and T. Bulotas became the first agent from our country to guide his client through the entire NBA draft process.
“I don’t know if I had a specific idea for the documentary itself, I just felt that this process needed to be immortalized and personally I wanted it to be done by someone completely unrelated to basketball, for whom both the player’s and the agent’s activities are foreign. In America, it has long been popular to combine the worlds of entertainment and art with sports, and I wanted our basketball world in Lithuania to start interacting more with the creative world. Oleg did a great job revealing Kaspar’s character through everyday routines and one of the most important early career events,” said T. Bulotas. “I wanted to capture the behind-the-scenes of this event because, in my eyes, there were many historic moments in it. A Lithuanian point guard who moved to the NBA from the NCAA immediately after his first season (‘One and done’). The first Lithuanian guard in the first round of the NBA draft.”
Both K. Jakučionis’s preparation for the NBA draft and the filming took about a month across three different U.S. cities: Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York.
“Tadas mentioned that it would be cool to do something, to somehow immortalize those moments, and I agreed. We didn’t know if we would allow it or not, it didn’t matter, the important thing was that there would be some memory to watch after some years. In the end, we decided that it should be shown to a wider audience,” said K. Jakučionis. “Filming took place daily for about a month. I was always followed by a camera trying to capture all moments – whether it was training routines or just going for a walk. It was unusual, but it was cool.”
Having made a great impression in the NCAA championships, K. Jakučionis became the highest-drafted Lithuanian guard ever in the NBA draft when he was selected 20th by the Miami Heat.

In the overall ranking, he was only surpassed by Jonas Valančiūnas (5), Matas Buzelis (11), and Domantas Sabonis (11).
“The whole process before the draft was long – training, preparations, performances, interviews, travels… I remember now, the process was lengthy, but I always had motivation. When you pursue a clear goal, time goes faster. When the decisive evening came, it was very nice to sit in the green room and hear my name,” said K. Jakučionis. “There was definitely excitement because I didn’t know the situation. I thought that in any case, I would be picked in the first round. It was a dream come true that I was waiting for that night.”
T. Bulotas also enjoyed the invaluable experience.
“Naturally, over the years, a routine develops, the same work cycle every year. Such new experiences also bring corresponding responsibility,” said probably the most famous basketball agent in Lithuania. “This is not just an event. It is an achievement and recognition, and even more so – a test for me as an agent and an experience necessary for growth. I believe such experiences greatly foster growth.”
“Everything is possible if you believe in yourself, work towards it, and don’t listen to others’ opinions,” sent a message to future Lithuanian basketball players who will have to test themselves in the NBA draft, K. Jakučionis.
The important mission of this documentary was also emphasized by T. Bulotas.
“This is the beginning of Kasparas’s path to the NBA, so we wanted a creative producer’s perspective, not unnecessary expectations imposed on a young guy,” said T. Bulotas. “Our goal is not to create a dramatic situation but to properly reveal Kasparas and show the historic Lithuanian basketball night from a different angle. We hope this will inspire the young generation of basketball players.”
