The idea to organize such a dinner was taken up by four women from Kėdainiai – Vaiga Cechanavičė, Jurgita Norkienė, Emilė Jasulevičiūtė-Abarienė, and Brigita Petrošiūtė-Šablevičienė. Through their initiative, townspeople, performers, artists, business representatives, and sponsors gathered in one place.

The evening’s result exceeded the bounds of a beautiful celebration – the Jonas Urbietis Support Fund managed to raise 15 thousand euros.
Due to a serious illness, he requires a complex femur surgery at the Paley Clinic in Poland, which costs about 60 thousand euros. Jonas’s family is making every effort to provide him with the best possible treatment, and their determination and persistence did not go unnoticed – Jonas’s story inspired the women from Kėdainiai not only to support the family but also to take concrete actions.
All evening participants contributed to the support. Part of the funds was raised by selling tickets and receiving sponsors’ support, and another part – during a charity auction held at the event.
There was no shortage of excitement and unique offers. Artists donated their works for the auction, it was possible to purchase a basketball signed by the Kaunas “Žalgiris” team, a pair of shoes from footwear creators, a set of Beata Nicholson’s books, an annual coffee subscription, and other prizes specially dedicated to this evening.

The White Dinner held for the first time in Kėdainiai transformed the Great Market Square beyond recognition. 300 townspeople sat at tables decorated in white, and the evening was accompanied by live music.
The accordionist Povilas Neliupšis played for the attendees, Neda Malunavičiūtė appeared on stage, and the musical program was complemented by the Kėdainiai jazz trio.
For the organizers, this evening became proof that the city does not need big occasions to come together – sometimes an idea, people’s desire to be together, and a goal worth striving for are enough.
