The main gathering place became the wakeboarding park “Wake way,” where the athlete and coach spent much of his time.

On Wednesday evening, relatives and friends gathered in three different places in Lithuania for an extraordinary gathering on the water. During it, members of the extreme sports community, honoring Motiejus’ memory, gathered together on wakeboards, gliding on the water and performing tricks.
Motiejus’ memory was also honored with a moment of silence.
The invitation was spread on social media by the wakeboarding sports community.
“Friends, riders, and everyone touched by the news about Motiejus,
Even if you did not know him personally, I invite you to come to ‘Wake Way’.
‘Wake Way’ was like a second home to Motiejus – a place where he spent many happy moments. It is here that we will gather to honor his memory.
We really want to be together. Your presence will be the greatest respect to Motiejus and support to his loved ones. Motiejus’ family, closest friends, and the entire community will be at the park.
Together with us, Motiejus will also be honored by other park communities – at the same time, moments of remembrance will take place at “Vanduo Marse” and “313 Cable Park”. Although we will be in different places, we will all be united in one thought.

I believe “Wake Way” will explode, and Motiejus will see how much he meant to people. We want to invite you to celebrate Motiejus’ life in the way he would have liked most – on the water.

On Instagram, fellow athletes also shared warm thanks to the sportsman.

On Sunday, news spread that a young man drowned in the Baltic Sea in Nida in the afternoon, and later it was revealed that he was M. Lisauskas, the 2017 “Red Bull Risk and Slysk” skiing competition champion, and a wakeboarding and snowboarding coach.
Some time ago, Motiejus founded the “7AM Club” sports community and was also an active member of other athletes’ initiatives.
