Rescuers who rushed to the scene immediately began resuscitation. An ambulance helicopter was also dispatched, but according to officials, despite efforts to revive him, the boy could not be saved.
A spokesperson for the nearby city of Łódź police, Edyta Machnik, said that preliminary data shows the boy “drove into the path of a combine harvester driven by a 48-year-old man”.

She added that the combine harvester driver’s alcohol test was negative. The exact circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
