On the social network “Facebook,” R. Mikelkevičiūtė spoke about the strong storm that devastated Vilnius, the storm, and its consequences. As the well-known woman stated, a strong wind tore off part of the roof from the house.

“Wow. I have never seen such a storm and rain before. It tore off part of the roof, washed out the road. How are you?” – wrote R. Mikelkevičiūtė and shared videos capturing the breathtaking aftermath of the storm.
Žmonės.lt reminds that Sunday morning in Vilnius dawned cloudy but calm. However, fallen trees on the streets, sand brought in, and still large puddles in some places testify that the storm during the night was very strong.
Residents share images in “Facebook” groups showing streets covered with tree branches, broken or overturned huge trees.
According to 15min photographer Robertas Riabovas, the Bukiškis viaduct is flooded and it would be quite risky to drive through it on Sunday morning.
The photographer claims to have seen this viaduct flooded more than once, but this time there is a real lake here.
“The road is not passable at all, a real lake. Around the roundabout, four cars are submerged. There are still some trying to drive against the traffic,” said the 15min photographer.
