About 60,000 people entered the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from Morocco during this migrant influx, local regional president Juan Jesus Vivas told journalists earlier on Friday.
However, the Spanish Ministry of the Interior (MOI) reported on Friday that more than 37,500 people have returned to Morocco from this Spanish enclave after the recent influx of tens of thousands of migrants into Ceuta.
“Departures from Ceuta to Morocco on July 31 until 3:30 p.m. (local time, 4:30 p.m. Lithuanian time): more than 37,500 people,” the Ministry of the Interior said in a statement sent to the AFP news agency.
