“My mission is international and I want to promote Lithuania worldwide. Sometimes doors open for me through business, and sometimes through sports. I believe that sports and business greatly support each other. Sports generally unite people. If you come to a different culture and start a topic about sports, you naturally feel that we are speaking the same language,” said A. Adomaitytė in the podcast.
The vice president and “EuroBasket 2027” ambassador also revealed what these duties look like in her daily life:
“My positions require representational activities. In the last 3 months, I had over 40 flights. Every time I introduce myself as a representative of business and sports and, of course, mention the basketball part,” says Alina. “This is important because when you contribute to making your country better known, you can open paths to bring new brands and partners to Lithuanian basketball. This is the path, and I carry out that mission. While traveling, I always try to meet with leaders of business and sports organizations to talk about possible partnerships and exchange programs.”
Alina Adomaitytė is also the founder and main patron of the BC “Deivės” basketball academy. In Druskininkai, the “Deivės” academy has been operating since 2022, and the most talented basketball players already represent Lithuania’s youth teams and defend the country’s honor in European championships.

<p“I spend about a third of all my time in Lithuania. This is usually in the summer. When I am in Lithuania, I always try to plan everything so that I can visit the academy girls and talk with them. Leading a business forward is one thing, but every leader’s duty, I believe, is to help children who need that help the most,” the interviewee notes.
Right there, the businesswoman named the core goals of the “Deivės” academy:
“The academy carries several missions. We want to raise girls with the right philosophy. The focus must be on the main activities, on what they do. For example, intrigue is a side activity and a distraction. If they have time for intrigues, it means they are wasting time that could be devoted to studies or basketball. Imagine if we raised 100 or 1000 children with such a philosophy? How could that change the country, how could that change basketball? The academy’s goal is to raise happy, emotionally stable people who would be able to live interestingly, rationally, professionally, and represent us as a basketball country.”
