“This is a compromise solution and such a proposal,” the social democrat told BNS on Friday. “Returning to the discussion of the law in the Seimas, we will certainly responsibly evaluate the arguments presented by the respected president and look for solutions that would precisely help reconcile high educational requirements with real help for the student.”
As BNS wrote, in 2022, the Seimas adopted amendments to the Education Law, according to which tenth-graders wishing to become eleventh-graders should pass the Basic Education Achievement Test (PUPP) with at least a four.
