“A new start. Today, the first walk dedicated to cancer prevention started in Druskininkai.
It is symbolic that this meaningful event begins its story in Druskininkai – a resort with long-standing health traditions.
I thank the organizers of the march – the National Cancer Center and its head Valdas Pečeliūnas, the National Breast Diseases Association, the medical staff, and all participants, nearly 900 of them.
Walking together is a message to all people affected by cancer and their loved ones that they are not alone. And this is very important and necessary.
I wish strength to all who are on the difficult path of fighting cancer. I wish hope. I wish health,” he wrote.
